What is different about Jio

Jio built its mobile network on IPv6. Your SIM usually has no IPv4 address at all, and older sites are reached through a translator inside Jio. Two consequences follow for a VPN for Jio. Some older VPN apps simply cannot connect on an IPv6 only SIM. And a VPN that tunnels only IPv4 lets your IPv6 traffic slip around it, so Jio still sees where you go. The clients that we suggest carry both kinds of traffic, and a Notchless key works without adjustment on a Jio SIM, on JioFiber and on AirFiber.

The config file habit

Jio users are the most loyal customers of the settings file economy. The tool changes and the hope stays the same. Jio realities

✓JioFiber and AirFiber are steadier in the evening than mobile data.
✓JioCinema, JioTV and MyJio expect an Indian address. Exclude them from the tunnel.
✓A JioPhone cannot run these clients. It needs an Android phone or an iPhone.
✓Devices on your hotspot are not covered by your phone's VPN. Put a client on each of them. One key stretches to five, which is enough for a small flat.

Quick fixes

✓Pages hang after connecting: toggle airplane mode, then reconnect.
✓A DNS leak test still shows Jio: turn on the IPv6 and DNS options in the client.

My old VPN app connects on Wi-Fi but never on Jio data. Why?

It probably speaks IPv4 only. A Jio SIM is an IPv6 world, and that app cannot find its way.

Are tunnel app configs for Jio worth trying?

Does a VPN stretch my daily Jio quota?

JioCinema shows an error when I am connected. What should I do?
