Every city runs VLESS over Reality. On a filtered network it looks like ordinary HTTPS.

Operator by operator

Jio is an IPv6 network. Most SIMs get no IPv4 address at all, and that breaks some older VPN apps. It does not affect the clients we suggest. Airtel carries both, and it shapes certain kinds of traffic at busy hours. Vi and BSNL block the same ordered sites, often later and less consistently. A VPN for Jio and Airtel therefore needs two qualities: it has to work over IPv6, and it must not look like a VPN. A Notchless key uses VLESS over Reality, which looks like a secure visit to a large website on any of the four.

Why tunnel app settings stop working

A whole subculture exists around config files. On Jio people trade psiphon VPN settings for Jio and a droid VPN setting for Jio. On Airtel the same crowd asks for tls tunnel VPN settings for Airtel. Then there are the evergreen requests: anonytun VPN settings for Jio and eut VPN settings for Airtel. Each file holds a host and a payload that exploit a gap in the operator's billing or filtering. The operator closes the gap, the file stops working, and a new one is passed around the groups, sometimes with malware inside. People who look for the setting of psiphon pro VPN for Airtel, or x VPN settings for Airtel, are doing maintenance that a key never needs. There is no host, no payload and no SNI field.

Beyond the SIM

✓Home fibre from Jio, Airtel or a local provider: the most stable base for a tunnel.
✓Hostel and college Wi-Fi: usually fine, because the filter sees ordinary HTTPS.
✓Office Wi-Fi: technically fine. Check whether your company allows it.
✓Public Wi-Fi at stations, airports and cafes: the best reason to have a VPN at all.
✓A phone hotspot: devices that join it are not covered. Each one needs its own client.

Things a VPN cannot do here

✓It cannot create free data. Your pack and your daily limit still apply.
✓It cannot beat a full internet shutdown. There is nothing left to tunnel through.
✓It cannot speed up a weak signal.
✓It cannot make JioCinema or other India only apps work through a foreign city. Exclude them.
✓It cannot replace local knowledge in Kashmir, where the rules change. See the page below.

Pages in this section

✓VPN for Kashmir: prepare before you need it.
✓On the way: Vi, BSNL, college, office and public Wi-Fi.

When the night ends, nothing stays behind

No account, so nothing for a log to point at, and no email, number or name on file. Our cities sit outside India, which keeps us outside the CERT-In retention rules. We would rather name that reason than pretend no law reaches us.

Questions from the queue

Does one key work on every operator?

Yes. It works on Jio, Airtel, Vi, BSNL and any Wi-Fi.

Do I need EUT or Anonytun files?

No. Those config tricks expire, and they are often unsafe.

Will my operator see that I use a VPN?

It sees an encrypted connection that looks like normal HTTPS.

Is there a free data trick?

No. Anything that promises one is a dead loophole or malware.

Which city is fastest?

Dubai from the north and west, and Singapore from the south and east.

Does it work in a shutdown?

Not in a full one. It does work when only some services are blocked.

Up late with a question?

Ask in the Telegram bot, nights included; the same chat holds your key. The setup steps name the client to install.
